Join us for a talk with New York Therapy Animals (NYTA) Executive Director, Nancy George-Michalson. Complementing the current exhibition which highlights the work of search and rescue canines, this talk invites discussion to show how dogs can be used to assist their human counterparts as therapy dogs. Continuing the conversation of the human canine bond, this presentation will highlight the mission of NYTA and even have a team onsite to discuss their own experiences with the organization. Program is free with the purchase of admission.

No stranger to the Museum, this program marks artist Johanne Mangi's return to our popular series Painting the Masters. Stop by during your visit to watch Johanne paint her rendition of the sculpture, capturing the resilience and strength of the German Shepherd Dog depicted in the statue honoring the work of search dogs from 9/11.
