Subway

The Museum is located near Grand Central Station, one of the world’s most proverbial transportation hubs. The station is the terminus for MetroNorth railway and is served by the following subway lines: S, 4, 5, 6, 7. The Museum entrance is located on East 40th Street.

Bus

The following bus lines have routes that pass near MOD: BXM1, BXM7, M15, M42, Q32, QM10, QM32, QM42, X68.  Additionally, shuttle buses to all three major airports, LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark, stop just behind the museum on 41st Street. The Museum entrance is located on East 40th Street.

Parking

Should you decide to drive, there is a parking garage beneath the building as well as several garages on nearby 39th street. The Museum entrance is located on East 40th Street.

Out of courtesy to our neighbors, only service dogs and invited demonstration dogs are allowed in the museum.

Accessibility

Service animals are welcome in the museum. The museum entrance is wheelchair accessible via the building’s main plaza on the corner of Park Ave and E 40th Street. Accessible elevators are located on the first floor of the museum to the left of the admissions desk and gift shop. Public restrooms include accessible facilities.

Photography Policy

Non-flash photography is permitted in the Museum for personal (non commercial) use except where noted. Flash photography, videography and tripods are not permitted in the Museum.
