You asked, and we delivered! 2 Furry Fridays every month in 2022!

Free to members but open to everyone, reserve a ticket by signing up here for you and your dog(s). Visit the Museum during our special "furry" friendly hours: 6:00-8:00pm. Tickets are $20 per adult and $5 per dog. Reservations are required to attend and will sell out, so purchase early! Program is 6:00-8:00pm.

*If you will be attending with your dog(s), you will be required to sign a waiver upon entry.

The MoD will be open with special holiday hours on Monday, October 10th, 11:00am-6:00pm. Join us for some fall fun!

Calling all storybook lovers and their stuffy friends!

Join us for a storytime program on Wednesday mornings before opening at the Museum of the Dog. Bring your favorite stuffed dog along for a fun adventure listening to a dog themed story, learning about different dog breeds, and completing a dog related art activity.

This program is included with general admission and free for Members. We welcome all who are interested to attend but the program is designed for 2-8 year olds and an adult learning partner.

It's a paws-itively good time!

Strollers must be parked on the first floor of the Museum near our lockers for the duration of the program. Food and drink is not permitted in the gallery space.

Join the New York Adventure Club for an exclusive after-hours pastel painting workshop at the AKC Museum of the Dog!

Led by award-winning artist Karen Miura and her dog, Lucy, our fun and relaxed artistic experience will include:

• Private access to the AKC Museum after the doors close to the public

• A step-by-step demonstration on pastel painting dogs — bring a photo of your pet, or use Lucy as your muse!

• A chance afterward to play with Lucy and browse the museum’s collection that commemorates, signifies, and celebrates the human-canine relationship through fine art and artifacts, and dynamic exhibits and activities

• An opportunity to visit the museum's gift shop before heading out

All painting supplies will be provided, and all art can be taken home!

*For guests who want to paint a picture of their pet, please bring a 5x7 or 6x8 Head Shot of your pet, along with a black and white photocopy of that photo

**Pets are not allowed inside the museum

***All interested are welcome, no painting experience is required

On the third Thursday of every month, Members are invited to an exclusive tour of the galleries. Explore different artworks and collections items on a themed tour conducted by an AKC MoD staff member. Additionally, enjoy an extra discount on special spotlight items in the Museum shop available that day only.

Furry Friday's special Halloween edition will have you howling with delight! Costumes are encouraged and spook-takular fun is to be had. You won't want to miss this bewitching evening.

A day of dog themed, Halloween fun at the Museum! Please note: this event is for humans only.

Join us for spook-takular fun!

Activities include:
- Make your own dog dress up mask
- Scratch art pumpkin drawings
- Guess the treats count contest

And--watch artist Brent Heuser (@brentpumpkins) carve dog art on pumpkins LIVE in our library 1:00-5:00pm!
