AKC MoD at Museum Mile Festival

Join the AKC MoD at the annual Museum Mile Festival on Fifth Avenue as we celebrate Museums and cultural institutions located in New York City! Fifth Avenue will be closed to car traffic between 79^th and 109^th streets and all Museums and cultural partners on this stretch will be free and open to the public. The AKC MoD will have a tent located at 91^st and Fifth Avenue with family-friendly activities; Come say hi!

Other Museums and cultural partners included in the festivities are the Africa Center, the Asia Society, El Museo del Barrio, the Museum of the City of New York, the New York Academy of Medicine, the Jewish Museum, the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, the Church of the Heavenly Rest, the Guggenheim Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Out of courtesy to our neighbors, only service dogs and invited demonstration dogs are allowed in the museum.

Accessibility

Service animals are welcome in the museum. The museum entrance is wheelchair accessible via the building’s main plaza on the corner of Park Ave and E 40th Street. Accessible elevators are located on the first floor of the museum to the left of the admissions desk and gift shop. Public restrooms include accessible facilities.
