New Exhibition Opening: The AKC Museum of the Dog at 40: And the Collectors Who Made It

In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Museum's opening, come see our newest special exhibition, The AKC Museum of the Dog at 40: And the Collectors Who Made It.

This exhibition will bring into focus several of the collectors whose donations had a profound impact shaping the permanent collection and where it stands today. Some of the featured collectors include: Frank Sabella, Marie A. Moore, Cynthia Wood, and Ron Menaker.

Out of courtesy to our neighbors, only service dogs and invited demonstration dogs are allowed in the museum.

Accessibility

Service animals are welcome in the museum. The museum entrance is wheelchair accessible via the building’s main plaza on the corner of Park Ave and E 40th Street. Accessible elevators are located on the first floor of the museum to the left of the admissions desk and gift shop. Public restrooms include accessible facilities.
