Summer Storytime Series: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Sunday, August 13
11am

This summer, we are bringing in authors AND dogs for an exciting series of storytime events! At each program, participants will get to meet and chat with a children's book author, create a craft in theme with the book, and get up close with real dogs similar to those featured in the story. Pick up your own copy of the book in our shop and get it autographed right then and there!

On August 13th, join author Andrea Caceres for a reading of her book, My Dog Just Speaks Spanish.

Andrea Caceres is an author, illustrator, and art director. Her work, much of it featuring dogs, has appeared in countless product campaigns and commissions. About My Dog Just Speaks Spanish, her debut picture book, she says, "Did you know that dogs might be able to identify when different languages are spoken? Tobi, my silky terrier, and I spent years speaking only Spanish, and it was very interesting to see him react to a different langauge when he moved to the US. Tobi is an expert in tricks, and all his commands are in Spanish. It has definitely been a point of conversation when we show people his talents. See if you can spot Tobi in this book!" Andrea Caceres was born in Venezuela and is based in New York City.

Visitors of all ages will enjoy this event. Whether you are excited to hear the story or just want to visit with the dogs. This event is FREE for Members and included with General Admission.
