The Jewish holiday of Purim has gone to the dogs

"The American Kennel Club’s Museum of the Dog, just two blocks south of Grand Central, boasts many things, including an extensive library about dog breeds and one of the world’s largest collections of dog-themed art. Pups raise the ‘woof’ at the AKC Museum of the Dog grooming party

"The American Kennel Club (AKC) Museum of the Dog threw a “paw”-ty on Tuesday night for those with both two and four legs that looked to raise the “woof” of the art gallery. Held at 101 Park Ave. in Midtown, the furry fiesta promoted Pride+Groom, a line of grooming products made especially so that pets can enjoy the same level of care as their human counterparts. Out of courtesy to our neighbors, only service dogs and invited demonstration dogs are allowed in the museum.

Accessibility

Service animals are welcome in the museum. The museum entrance is wheelchair accessible via the building’s main plaza on the corner of Park Ave and E 40th Street. Accessible elevators are located on the first floor of the museum to the left of the admissions desk and gift shop. Public restrooms include accessible facilities.

Non-flash photography is permitted in the Museum for personal (non commercial) use except where noted. Flash photography, videography and tripods are not permitted in the Museum.
